ACA plans, or Affordable Care Act plans, are health insurance plans that are sold through the health insurance marketplace. The ACA is a law that was passed in 2010 to make health insurance more affordable and accessible. 

ACA plans are available to most US citizens, and lawfully present immigrants. Many plans are subsidized by the government, which can lower monthly premiums. Plans are available in different categories, such as bronze, silver, gold, and platinum. 

The open enrollment period runs every year from November 1 - January 15. However there are also certain events that can qualify you for a special enrollment period throughout the year.
